Review & Edit Before Generating
AI extraction is 95%+ accurate, but you have full control. Edit any field before generating the PDF—client names, amounts, dates, line items.
When to Edit (Optional)
Most users skip the review step—the AI gets it right. But you might want to edit if:
AI extracted wrong amount
Example: AI read "$5,000" but you meant "$50,000". Rare, but fixable.
Client name needs correction
Example: AI extracted "Acme Inc" but official name is "Acme, Inc." (with comma)
Want to add line items manually
Example: AI extracted 3 line items, you want to add a 4th (not in documents)
Customize payment instructions
Example: Change "Remit to address above" to custom wire transfer instructions
How to Edit (Step-by-Step)
Generate Invoice First
Upload files, click "Generate PDF". After AI extraction completes, you'll see the extracted JSON data (currently hidden by default).
Click "View/Edit JSON" (Coming Soon)
This expands the JSON editor showing all extracted fields. You'll see client_name, vendor_name, line_items, amounts, dates, etc.
Edit Any Field
Click into any field to modify. Changes save automatically. Re-generate PDF with corrected data.
Current Limitation
Note: The JSON editor is currently available in the codebase but not exposed in the UI by default. Most users don't need it—AI accuracy is high enough. Future update will add a "Review & Edit" button for power users.
